St James’s C of E High School go to amazing efforts to support their pupils in achieving some of the highest grades in the area, its teaching is second to none, despite the poor state of one of the largest teaching blocks on site. Block B, predominantly used for Math and Business Studies, was struggling greatly with subsidence posing significant health and safety concerns. In addition, the building suffered from age related wear and tear, hidden asbestos, a roof and external fabric at the end of its life consolidated into a block that was very difficult and annually, very costly to maintain.

Following a successful grant application by Stratus9, St James’s C of E High School were awarded the funding to make a real difference, to the school as well as its staff and pupils. Project managed by Stratus9 the new building was kitted out with the latest technology and future proofing infrastructure.

The project was successfully delivered by Stratus9 on time and on budget. St James’s C of E High School not only benefits from the immediate impact a new building can bring, but also the long-term effects such as future proofed IT infrastructure, the latest safeguarding technology, extremely low maintenance costs, large open classrooms and many more.
