The pitched roof installed on the school was in a desperate state of repair due to the original poor design and high levels of vandalism causing significant damage on a regular basis. Severe water ingress, mould growth and poor thermal efficiency were wreaking havoc on the schools’ facilities causing significant health and safety concerns.
Stratus9 Consulting were successful in securing Condition Improvement Funding for just under half a million pounds in order to address these issues and replace the entire roof with a designed solution that was fit for purpose and suitably robust to mitigate vandalism.
Stratus9 delivered a complete roof replacement package from project inception to final completion on time and within budget. Pupils and staff benefit from a safe, dry and warm environment in which to teach and learn and vandalism is now non-existent. Further benefits are reduced maintenance and energy costs that will save the school thousands of pounds in the future.
