“Maintaining good communication is integral to how we operate”
The purpose of this project was to complete the urgent refurbishment of the defective & dilapidated single glazed timber windows with metal encasements of the Errwood Buildings front elevation, within Levenshulme High School.
The Errwood Building within Levenshulme High school was constructed in the 1920’s. The failed and defective windows were not original but were well over 50 years old. They were in a poor state of repair and well beyond their useable life, which was evident through the ongoing issues with water ingress, mould, openers not functioning correctly and constant issues with poor heat in winter on external facing classrooms.
The new uPVC windows installed give this beautiful building a modern look without infringing on the classic architecture. The modern materials and double glazing used have greatly reduced external noise from the main road and made it significantly easier to manage heat within classrooms. Water ingress, and the fabric damage that would result from it, has been eliminated, so staff and students can enjoy teaching and learning in an environment that is warm, dry and safe.
